LEICESTERSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL EMPLOYEE BENEFITS SCHEME

In Partnership with the Leicestershire Volleyball Association

The Leicestershire Volleyball Association is responsible for the administration of the sport of volleyball at a local level within Leicestershire. It runs Men's, Mixed and Ladies' leagues during the season (September to April). It currently has twelve affiliated clubs, including some from outside of the Leicestershire boundary (Tamworth, Nuneaton and Coventry).

Volleyball is one of the three most popular team sports in the world. It is a game open to both sexes, all ages and abilities.

The Leicestershire Volleyball Association has an exclusive arrangement with Leicestershire County Council to offer LCC employees two free training sessions at any one of its affiliated clubs. This offer is in addition to any incentives the clubs themselves may offer (for example, if it is a club's policy to offer new starters two free weeks, then this would be in additional to the LCC offer (i.e. four free weeks). The offer is underwritten by the LVA which will reimburse clubs for the training fees foregone.

Of the twelve affiliated clubs, three are university / college teams and therefore unable to partake in this offer. However, all other nine clubs have signed up to partake in this initiative, designed primarily to get beginners into clubs (although experienced players are equally welcome too).

In order to partake in this offer, staff should contact clubs directly (see our contacts page for details).

Note to LVA affiliated clubs:-

  1. The offer permits an LCC employee to two free training / squad sessions at your club.
  2. Clubs should offer this benefit additional to any "standard" benefit that may be offered to new beginners.
  3. Clubs should reclaim costs from the LVA Treasurer via your named contact providing a breakdown of the costs incurred.
  4. Each club will be reimbursed up to a maximum amount of %C2%A3350.
